Martinja vas pri Mokronogu is a village immediately to the north of Mokronog in the Mokronog-Trebelno municipality in southeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on a slight elevation to the east of the settlement, is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and belongs to the Mokronog parish. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1526 and was restyled in the Baroque in the 17th century. The main altar dates to 1877.[3]
